Citizenship Forum Volunteers

The City of Houston Office of New Americans in collaboration with NALEO Educational Fund & BakerRipley (formerly Neighborhood Centers), would like to thank you for signing up to assist legal permanent residents fill out their citizenship application form. First time volunteers need to arrive by 7:30 a.m. training starts around 8:00am and will be provided by volunteer attorneys/paralegals expert on immigration laws to instruct you about our forum procedures, you don’t need to be bilingual to participate neither you need to have experience on the process of citizenship. Dress comfortably you are expected to volunteer up to 2pm for a total of 6-7 hours, breakfast & lunch will be provided.

TIME: Registration 8:30-9:30 AM

TIME: 7:30-8:00am Breakfast will be provided for volunteers
8:00am volunteers are expected to be ready to take a training that will last approximately two hours
10:00am – 2:00 pm volunteers assist legal permanent residents with their citizenship applications
12:00noon Lunch break
